Erin Burge, MS CCC-SLP

Speech Language Pathologist and Owner

Erin has been a practicing Speech-Language Pathologist for over a decade in a variety of settings including early intervention, private practice, and multiple public schools systems. Prior to becoming a SLP, she was a second-grade classroom teacher. She has extensive experience and training working with all ages from birth to 21 years with a variety of communication needs. Erin has experience with autistic individuals, individuals with complex communication needs, executive functioning (difficulty planning, organizing, and executing everyday and academic tasks), pragmatic (social) language, literacy and language disorders, articulation/phonology, and in providing family coaching.

Erin specializes in collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other vital team members to deliver therapy that addresses meaningful goals that produce measured results while celebrating each child's strengths and achievements. As a mom of six children herself, Erin is very aware of the importance of supporting the entire family in a collaborative therapeutic team.  She uses child-led, meta-cognitive and critical-thinking based strategies to improve ownership and carryover of speech/language skills. She incorporates movement, music, and multi-sensory strategies. Erin emphasizes the importance of parent and family roles in the client's progress in each session by empowering them with practical tools to support continued improvements at home and in the community.

During her spare time (who are we kidding- she’s a mom of six there is no spare time!), Erin enjoys running, baking, home décor and being an active member of her church and community. She is grateful to be part of the Buford community and seeks to serve local families well by providing quality speech and language support!
